Had a great time! Omar was brilliant communicating beforehand and the whole team of guys who drive you (sitting on the back of a pick-up! Fun!) and guide the kayak tour itself were great - really friendly and made us feel welcome. They worked really hard, helping in the water and lugging the kayaks through the jungle while we ate lunch! Didn’t expect that! We had 2 guides (I think one was training?) for our family of four and another couple. The caves were amazing - what an experience!
We had a private tour with Vida for the entire cave tour- no other people! He was very attentive and informative. He even let us store our car keys with his items prior to the tour. He also pulled us through parts of the river so we could just relax and look at the interior of the caves. We both work in very fast paced and at time noisey environments and floating in the river in the peace, quiet and nature was a few hour spiritual retreat. Be aware that the Blue Hole is self guided. Both places you need to watch your step - but such is nature.
We did the 7 mile cave kayaking tour with Belize inland tours. We were family of 4, with 11 and 16 year old. This was our first time kayaking.The experience can’t be described in words and it exceeded every expectation! From start to finish, the experience was professionally organized, safe, and incredibly enjoyable. Communication with Omar was easy and fast. He answered all questions quickly and provided necessary information.
